As i sat in my garden on a hot sunny day, looking at all the wonderful flowers in such beautiful colours, the perfume filled my whole body with feelings of love and contentment. As i looked closely at their petals, i saw velvet so delicate, so amazingly beautiful.
I closed my eyes and listened to the birds singing, i smelt the perfume of the flowers sweep across my body on a warm breeze, i felt in awe of the gifts which God has given us. Gifts we take for granted, gifts that we don't always remember to say 'thank you' for.
I watched all the little creatures going about their daily business, what's going on in their little minds i wondered. The birds on the fence were watching me watching them, how lucky i felt to be experiencing all these things. It made me think about how much we look without really seeing, probably due to our busy lives.
Next time you are sitting in your garden, take five minutes , awaken your senses by the sound, sight and smell of nature. Say a little prayer of thanks for these gifts it's a truely wonderful feeling.
