Last night, I'm not even sure if I was asleep but I felt I was floating around my room and could see what my room looked like.

This is strange as when I was a very young girl ((7years old approx)) I floated out of my bedroom window and could see all around the fields and where I lived.

I have never told anyone this as at the time it was like a nightmare.
I do not know why or the reason why.

to a young child of 7 years i can understand it being frightning, but for it to happen to you again after so many years is good, cause it sounds to me like astral travel, i have had a similiar experience, more than once actually, i found out later they were messages from loved ones. i do think you have a gift, im in no way qualified, only going by my personal experiences. wish you all the best. Hi Doreen, You had a classic out of body experience, your conscious energy left your body for a while, I remember doing this a few times when i was around 7 ish too and i had the chicken pox. Then it was a case of ooh look there's me asleep, now its Ooh 'eck there's me asleep. Most people"jolt"back into their body when they realise whats happening... others stay out and can go all over the place and look and things, but must come back that silver cord ties us to it...I think it is an experience of what we are like when we have no use for the body anymore x x
