Sound Healing
We are vibrational beings, infact everything in our awe inspiring universe is in a constant state of vibration. When you hear the rustle of the leaves in the trees, it can bring a smile to your face. This is just one example of vibrational sound healing, it is part of nature and the earths natural rhythm.
Sounds have long been associated with complementing the healing of the body, and clearing the sacred spaces. Now there is a connection within it self, as our bodies are our sacred space, it holds our most precious essence, the soul.
It makes sense with all that is living, (I say living as everything in the universe is and can benefit also from sound healing) is constantly being exposed to noise pollution on a daily basis. This can stay as residue vibration resounding its energy, within the vessel it has lingered upon, upsetting the balance of energy already present, therefore this could result in dis-ease to the vessel (our bodies).
We have all heard of the Big Bang Theory, that sound had a whole lot to do with our world being created, and this has been documented by ancient civilisations all over the globe. Most of the religious texts show written agreement of this.
Documented way back in our history, and still used to date in healing, the voice being a sacred tool in its own right, along with instruments like, the Drum, Chimes, Tibetan Singing bowls, are commonly used during a sound healing session. A session can last between 30-120mins depending on the healer's method, and the work that is required by the person who has made the effort to seek out holistic sound healing for their wellbeing. This type of powerful healing modality can reach into the places of great depth like the etheric layers, the teeny tiny cells of organ tissue, and the mind. The sound disperses the vibration out from all of the intricate spaces it may have become lodged within, sending it on its merry way, leaving the person feel lighter, cleansed, and more free then they may have felt in a long time.
Music can empower us, emotionally support us, even fire up a courage within us!! when we choose songs that resonate in that way for us. The ancients passed this knowledge down to the next generations, although many may not realise it, in a way sound healing is used in this fashion, continuously in
our day to day lives.
We have power songs to use when running and at the gym, romantic songs to set the mood, wink wink, and who hasn't created there own happy play list. A playlist filled with uplifting songs, to sing along to or just to shake your booty to, in the kitchen whilst cooking, when nobody is watching, ah yes great memories!!
When you have had a set back music becomes your companion, listening to the album jagged little pill, and Alisha's attic during my teenage angst induced years, backed up the injustice of it all, and helped to release the shouty energy from within. These tracks helped to put the world to rights as they say, and pure therapy in its own way. It's laughable now, yet each time a song is heard it triggers a great relief at just how much progress has been made and how far a person has come, including all successes - however big or small.
You can practice a short sound healing session yourself, by learning the vowel sounds of the Chakra energy centres. Sing each sound separately and then state a affirmation related to the chosen Chakra energy centre.
Base/Root Chakra - the vowel is UH - like the sound within the word Cup - affirmation; it is safe for me to live my dreams.
Sacral Chakra - the vowel is OOO - like the sound within the word You - affirmation; I am creative, I am sexy, I live my life in a state of joy.
Solar Plexus Chakra - the vowel is OH - like the sound within the word Go - affirmation; I am strong, I am standing in my power, I am making the correct decisions for my highest good.
Heart chakra - the vowel is AH - like the sound within the word Ma - affirmation; I am loveable, It is safe for me to give and receive love.
Throat Chakra - the vowel is EYE - like the sound within the word My - affirmation; I am allowed to speak my truth, I express myself in an assertive and loving manner.
Brow/Third Eye chakra - the vowel is AYE - like the sound within the word Say - affirmation; I lovingly trust my intuition, it is safe for me to see.
Crown chakra - the vowel is EEE - like the sound within the word Me - affirmation; today I say yes to my angels guidance, today I am one with all of creation.
