The following is the introduction to the ‘applying spiritual knowledge’ chapter from the latest edition of the above titled book.

My friend, you may wonder how spiritual knowledge can be applied to your present lifetime? Indeed, in many respects this is the most important aspect of all spiritual philosophy. Other than proving their survival it is the reason why those who communicate do so. To give us the knowledge of the wisdom they have gathered so that we might better conduct our lives, and thus progress more successfully than we might have done.

My advice is to bring your conscious thoughts back to the knowledge contained within these pages as regularly as you possibly can; especially during life’s more stressful and difficult times, as that is when it will benefit you the most. Hopefully, it will encourage you to be even more forgiving, tolerant, and compassionate, and also more readily able to cope with bereavement.

Our Native American friends have an expression which you may have heard before? Something along the lines of: ‘You’ve talked the talk, now it is time to walk the walk.’ In this case, we can say that intellectual knowledge is meaningless unless we can apply the truth to our lives. We need to not only speak the truth, but be the truth, by the way that we live our lives; by the way that we treat others, and ourselves; by endeavouring to be the caring, sharing, and loving souls which at the core of our inner being we are.
